Raised in a strict Catholic environment, I developed a need to reinterpret the figure of protection I grew up with. My work often explores imagined paternal presences — figures that do not exist, yet offer comfort, strength, and reassurance.
This painting emerges from that exploration: a strong, protective presence held within a warm, copper-toned atmosphere.
